Herbivore, Omnivore or Carnivore?

We couldn't decide if the dinosaur was a Herbivore (can only eat plants), Omnivore (can eat both) or Carnivore (only eats meat).  We decided that humans are omnivores, but some people decide to not eat meat.  They are called Vegetarians.

We decided to try to trick the pesky dinosaur by leaving some delicious leaves, salad, cakes and meat.  And whatever the dinosaur eats will give us a clue to what it is.

Well done to FA, OF, BH, SJ, EM, and HS for already having a go!

Fossils found in our class!

While Green and Blue Groups went with Mr Murphy to learn how to use SumDog (more next week) Red and Yellow groups had a go at using clay to make some fossils, as well as amazing models using clay.  We hope you like them.

A Dinosaur in our class?!?

Today we agreed that a Dinosaur came through our classroom!  We decided that yes, they probably left footprints and so decided to make some.  HS realised that his paper was too small so asked for a larger piece.  We tried to lay them out in the classroom but thought they were too close together!

Dinosaurs and Vets

Hello.  We are back blogging.  Sorry it has taken so long! We have some more ICT news coming this week that has kept us all busy.  Look out for a letter by the end of the week!

This term we are learning all about Dinosaurs in their prehistoric land.  What do you know about dinosaurs?

In maths we are learning about number and number lines.  Can you go forwards and backwards in 1s, 2s, 5s and 10s?

Our dinosaur veterinary service is open and ready for business! Please phone the Anansi reception if you need an appointment.
